Yesterday, I moved to California for good. It’s been a long time coming. Naturally, I was on a high, excited about the amazing weather, autonomy, and good people. But at the eleventh hour, I felt an accumulated sense of existential dread. It was some weird dissonance between imagining myself in a different lifestyle than one I’ve always experienced back home in New York. It’s a totally different aesthetic and lifestyle altogether. While I have many incredible people here supporting me, I’ll miss my family. Nevertheless, acting as a sovereign agent feels motivating and energizing like nothing else.
Given this lifestyle transition and my upcoming deadlines, I’m taking the opportunity to experiment with this post. This week, I’m sharing some of the resources I’ve used in my index. Like many of you, my priorities relate to self-improvement in every dimension I care about — so my resources do too.
